Started in the fall of 2010, Wrenching Bettys provides basic car maintenance information to women.  Created by women, for women, Wrenching Bettys is intended to be a safe and intimidation free learning environment. We want to empower women with knowledge and practical skills so they can be independent.

We don't want any of our Wrenching Bettys to feel scared or intimidated, we want you to enjoy yourself and have fun learning new things. So make yourself feel more comfortable and sign up with a friend. And when you do, we will even give you both a 15% discount off of the Wrenching Betty class you take together. Winter Driving - You, your vehicle and winter driving

Prevent problems before they occur: Top 10 tips

  1. Get your vehicle ready for winter in the fall.
  2. Install four matching winter tires.
  3. Pack an emergency kit.
  4. Learn and practice winter driving techniques before you need them.
  5. Plan your trip, check road and weather conditions.
  6. Remove all snow from your vehicle before each trip.
  7. Give yourself extra travel time in bad weather.
  8. Avoid using cruise control on slippery roads.
  9. Travel with a fully charged cell phone.
  10. SLOW DOWN and WEAR your seatbelt.

Prevention is better than recovery

Winter driving can be risky, so be prepared.

Host Us!women in class

Do you have a fabulous shop space that you would like to open up to Wrenching Bettys? Would you like us to come and teach women how to maintain their cars? If you do, we want to hear from you! We are currently looking for shop spaces in the Metro Vancouver area that would like to host a Wrenching Betty one day workshop or a class series. Your shop must meet our discriminating standards and have a washroom our participants can use.

We can offer you and your clients some goodies (discounts, advertising etc) in return for hosting us and our gals. Please get in touch with us, and let's see what we can come up with.
